Marco Buttazzoni

Marco Buttazzoni obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University in 1993, and from 1996 to 1997 he attended a Master’s Course in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems at the London School of Economics and Political Science before moving to Yale University (School of Forestry and Environmental Studies) where he specialized in “Environmental Management, Concentration: Policy, Economics and Law with a focus in environmental markets and climate change”.   Marco is the Founder and CEO of Buttazzoni Consulting, a consulting firm based in Washington that deals with climate change and innovation. He has been working as a consultant since 1994 and has been specialised in environmental sustainability and climate change issues since 2003. He worked at Environmental Resources Trust (ERT) both  as Senior Consultant and then as Director of Environmental Market Strategies until 2008 when he moved to Ecofys, a Dutch Multinational and leader in the European field of renewable and sustainable energy and climate policies. Since 2011 he has been a member of the GHG Management Institute where he is responsible for the training and support of local and government authorities (Republic of the Philippines) and international organizations (UNFCCC) on the subject of climate change.
