How European countries are facing extreme weather events arising from climate change.

Adapting to climate change is high on the political agenda of most European Governments. While extreme weather events have triggered adaptation responses, and pushed EU countries to study measures and define risk mitigation strategies to protect their territories and economies, few are the cases where there are already signs of concrete actions.
The report ‘National adaptation policy processes in European countries – 2014’, published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) on October 14th, assesses and reports the current status, strategies and actions implemented by some 30 EU member countries.

The report is available for download: http://goo.gl/3q24If, while trends of EEA’s climate change indicators over the years are accessible at link http://goo.gl/rlYLbo.
