As part of an assignment from Venice Port Authority, MR Energy Systems developed and organized the workshop ‘Technologies for energy efficiency‘, the second of a series of events and initiatives that the Port Authority programmed for the managers of the port operators, as part of the Greeneberth project, co-financed by ERDF under the MED Programme. Important terminal and logistic operators had the opportunity to learn about specific energy efficiency solutions of their interest, as previously identified by a dedicated questionnaire. Technology providers like Ewo or Manuport participated and presented applicative examples, best practices and lessons learnt about their solutions. Topics covered included:
- Hybrid motorization for boats
- Led lighting solutions for outdoor operations
- Energy management and monitoring systems
- Green fuels
- LNG and full electric terminal tractors
- Full electric cranes and retrofits
Venice Port Autority presented the Energy Efficiency Plan of the Port of Venice, developed by MR Energy Systems on behalf of the Port Authority, and a hybrid boat recharging station developed as a pilot by APV in partnership with a private logistic operator.
